Braddigan: Live at the Belly Up
November 26, 2008 | posted by Armistead Booker | 0 Comments

We are really excited to announce the release of Braddigan: Live At The Belly Up starting today on Third Surfer Music. Recorded live in June at the infamous venue near the San Diego beaches, the 12 tracks feature the full band (including drummer Paul Stivitts), a new song called Power of a Name, an 8 minute version of Ileana complete with the backstory, an epic drum jam at the end of Fallin', and an impromptu word from Braddigan that we're titling "where is poverty?"... So the music and the message are both pumping in this live recording, we hope you'll enjoy it!

The packaging is 100% recycled cardstock and features original artwork from our good friend Patrick Maxcy. We start shipping on December 14. Order the CD now!

Day of Light Movie
November 24, 2008 | posted by Armistead Booker | 0 Comments

Love Light & Melody has finished editing its debut documentary film, Day of Light. Entering what appears to be a war-zone, La Chureca, is actually a trash dump in Nicaragua home to over 1,500 people. Walk alongside musician Braddigan from sunrise to sunset as he is joined by hundreds of students, artists, athletes, and musicians as they break down emotional, physical, and cultural barriers, while reawakening the dreams, imagination, and hope of the people who live there.

Featuring music from Moby and Sufjan Stevens and a live mural by Kelli Murray, Austin Blasingame, and Patrick Maxcy, the film is set to come out Spring 2009. In the meantime, check out the trailer, photography, and updates.

Update on Brad
November 18, 2008 | posted by Armistead Booker | 0 Comments

At the end of October we had to cancel the Braddigan fall tour due to scarring found on his vocal cords. We have received news that his surgery was very successful and he is recovering well. Thanks for standing with us and keep checking this site for details. And as a special treat, our good friend and filmmaker Matt Katsolis has just released a highlight video from the annual Tommy Tant Memorial Surf Classic, where Braddigan stopped in to play behind our friend Josh Garrels. Keep playing it LOUD!
